IRELAND’S Cian O’Connor rode Eve D’Ouilly to win the three-star 1.55m Grand Prix at Cabourg in France last Sunday. From a large start list, only five jumped clear over the challenging first round course. O’Connor and the 10-year-old mare, who he owns along with Nicole Walker, jumped a lovely double clear and had the fastest jump-off time of 35.23 seconds. O’Connor also had a podium finish last Friday, when he took third place in the three-star 1.50m class riding Maurice. The pair finished just behind another successful Irish combination, Jessica Burke on African Affair, who were runners-up in the class.
