TICKETS are now on sale for the Eventing Ireland Youths Green, White and Gold awards ball, which will be held at Barberstown Castle in Kildare on January 20th, 2024.

Eventing Ireland (EI) is offering two free tickets to what promises to be a fantastic night for all youth eventers, their support crews and sponsors with music, awards and fun.

To be in with a chance to win the tickets, you need to nominate a member of your support crew, who has supported you ‘above and beyond’ this season. This could be a groom, a parent/guardian or a coach. To nominate, visit: itsplainsailing.com/org/eipyc

The event is an exciting new date in the eventing calendar and is aimed at all under 25 youths and their support crews. There will be awards for the Eventing Ireland National Leagues, High Performance Squads of 2023 and six special new Youth Awards to be announced on the night.

Music and entertainment will be provided by DJ Murt and attendees are encouraged to dress in their best formal green, white or gold outfits.

The Youth Committee is also running an auction on the night in support of the David Foster Injured Riders Fund. Items include a limited edition Louise Curling print and there are lots of spot prizes to be won too.

“Irish Youths have had a brilliant year in 2023 and the EI Youth Committee thought it would be a fun idea to celebrate in style at Barberstown Castle. This is a good opportunity for young eventers and their support teams to come together to kick off 2024 with a great night’s craic,” said Chairman, Kieran Connors.

In launching the event, the Youth Committee expressed their gratitude to all youth competitors and their teams for their support this year and recognised the achievements of the HSI HP management and the Eventing Ireland Head Office in inspiring Ireland’s youth eventers.
