MENTIONED in our Pony Tales column last week, former junior international event rider Correna Bowe suffered mixed emotions at Cheltenham on Thursday.

First, she led up the Sam Curling-trained Angels Dawn who was bidding for a repeat victory in the concluding Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Handicap Chase under Pa King. The nine-year-old Yeats mare was challenging for the lead when falling two out, leaving the race at the mercy of Inothewayurthinkin who won by eight lengths in the hands of Derek O’Connor.
