Minimise the risks of accidents when transporting horses by giving your horse box or lorry a once over to check everything is safe and ready to go.

  • Clean out all bedding, hay etc.
  • Inspect the floor and check the rubber-matting isn’t coming away from the floor.
  • Check the lights are all working correctly.
  • Grease the hitch, check the brake cable and grease the jockey-wheel.
  • Check the ramp for any damage.
  • Check the partitions for any damage.
  • Check all tyres.
  • Make sure the spare wheel is in good condition and secure.
  • Check reflectors.
  • Wash the exterior of the horse box or lorry.
