JUDDMONTE moved from their traditional selling day to offer their entire consignment at the opening session. The usual appetite for their draft was evident and the 23 lots sold averaged 68,565gns. Five lots contributed well in excess of half of the total.
Tim Cohen of Red Barons Farm combined with Rancho Temescal to pay 320,000gns, they most they have spent at Newmarket for a horse, and this was for the Amanda Perrett-trained Sash. A three-time winner this year, the three-year-old son of Oasis Dream is from the famous Juddmonte family of Hasili, dam of five Group or Grade 1 winners and of Dansili.
