WINNER of five races from seven starts, including last time out in the Group 3 Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster, the three-year-old Pride Of Dubai filly Just Beautiful sold for 625,000gns to trainer Paddy Twomey through BBA Ireland. She cost a mere 8,000gns as a yearling in Book 3.

Out of the group-placed Makfi mare Astrelle, Just Beautiful is also a half-sister to the Group 2 German 2000 Guineas winner Fearless King, and this year’s Grade 3-placed juvenile McKulick, a daughter of Frankel who is trained by Chad Brown, having been bought by Mike Ryan last year for 180,000gns. Astrelle’s yearling colt by Cracksman was bought by Sackville Donald for 200,000gns this autumn.

Just Beautiful was bought as a yearling by trainer Ivan Furtado and Doncaster Racing. “It is a fantastic story, it is dream come true for us. She has been a joy to deal with, it took us to the next level; we are ever so grateful to her. The team at home have done a great job and I wish the best to her new connections,” said Furtado

“We talked about going another year, but she has done fantastically for us. We don’t want her to go, we love her to bits, but the time is right,” added Furtado. Purchaser Twomey said: “She is a lovely filly. Ivan has done a great job with her, we hope to do the same. She should have a bright racing career ahead. She has been bought for an existing client.”
