TATTERSALLS Ireland have released the catalogue for the Sapphire Sale on November 14th, which will see 123 yearlings, foals and mares go under the hammer from 11am.

Yearlings sold will be eligible for the €250,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes at the Irish Champions Festival in 2025. Those likely to prove popular include the produce of blacktype mares, as well as siblings of Grade 1 scorer Obviously (Lot 905), Group 3 winner and stallion Jet Away (Lot 900) and dual Grade 3 winner Thewayiam (Lot 933).

The foal offering also includes the progeny of blacktype mares catalogued and pinhookers will be encouraged by a Sioux Nation filly who cost €20,000 at last year’s sale, returning to fetch 55,000gns at the Somerville Sale. Last year’s sale peaked at €37,000, while the average returned at €6,748. The median held steady at €4,000, while the clearance rate fell from 54% to 42%.
