Miss Manzor caught the eye turning for home last time out and stayed on behind some useful rivals. She’s entitled to improve again from that effort, particularly over this new trip.

Theatre Native is another promising chaser, and her third on her seasonal return reads well, following Only By Night’s run at Cheltenham.

The gelding she was beaten by next time out has also won again since, so she has a leading chance of going one better today.

A Law Of Her Own is the most experienced of these over fences and deserves a win, having placed on her first three attempts, two of them in blacktype chases. This looks more her level, but she has to bounce back from her two most recent efforts.

High Class Hero held an entry in the Brown Advisory when winning a beginners chase last month, when the ground was reportedly quite testing.

Runner-up at Grade 1 level over hurdles, he looks well-named when compared to today’s rivals.

Stablemate Fun Fun Fun, also a useful hurdler, made a smart start over fences, but seemed to be caught out with her jumping over a shorter trip last time. If she tidies up, she looks set for runners-up honours here.

Spinning Web’s 5lb rise for his beginners chase win over this trip looks realistic, but Clonbury Bridge looks up against it off a career-high mark.

Malinas Glory looks better treated, his four-and-three-quarter length course win garnering a 5lb rise.

He had excuses the next day, and probably found the ground too soft in February. In contrast, Lilian Bland may have preferred more rain.

Secret She Keeps has a good chance on her best form. She had almost two years off the track before her January return, so was entitled to blow up, but it’s possible she’ll need another run to get back to her best.

Following Orders made a promising rules debut in a similar contest earlier this month and a similar effort should be enough to win this.

His rivals haven’t shown the same amount of promise so far, but Slieve Annilog’s first two starts over hurdles weren’t without merit, and this drop in trip could bring further improvement.

The trip isn’t guaranteed to suit Stumblin In, whose best run came over three miles, plus she’s having her first run since August.

Brave Soldier is entitled to come on from his hurdle debut in November, while this drier ground may yield an improved effort from the flat-bred Free Flow.

A field with plenty of class, though it’s been a while since some of them were at their best. Asterion Forlonge is one of two previous Grade 1 winners here, and the oldest in the field at 11.

He took a few runs to come back to form last season, and was somewhat revived at this meeting two years ago, so today could be his day.

Hewick has also been disappointing of late, but the return of good to the going description should yield improvement, to provide his amateur rider with a memorable day.

Kilcruit had a 16-month absence to overcome in December, so it’s not unlikely that the 10-year-old needed the run again last time out.

Amirite and Typical Thomas may be best watched on their return from breaks, and both are better chasers.

It’s 12 months since Jack Du Large ran his best race, chasing home a smart type in Now Is The Hour. He disappointed subsequently, but showed some revival on his seasonal return over two miles on heavy ground.

Today’s conditions, and a 3lb drop, may yield the necessary improvement.

There could be another win in Duke Silver off this mark, considering the form of his Leopardstown run reads well, and he probably disliked last month’s heavy ground.

Syracus Du Houx isn’t very reliable, but it’s possible that his first start in handicap company could yield a maiden victory.

There didn’t seem to be any obvious excuses for Slim Marvel’s disappointing run last time out, but on her previous form, she has a chance here.

Galileo Sand certainly wasn’t bred for this purpose, as a Galileo half-brother to a dual Group 1 winner, who cost owners Bronsan Racing 140,000gns. The same goes for €175,000 yearling Eagle Of Destiny, a half-sister to Irish Leger winner Sonnyboyliston.

Jockey bookings are an added plus, so market support should provide any further indication as to what regard these newcomers are held in.

Old Bridge was significantly cheaper at the sales, but represents leading connections.

Tim Toe also represents a stable that warrants respect, while a talented pilot partners Starting Fifteen, a half-brother to a Triumph Hurdle winner.

Away from the newcomers, Shabra Diya is the most promising, but will need to take another step forward if any of the newcomers are above-average.
