4.10 James Shanahan Memorial Irish EBF Fillies Maiden 1m 4f
The Joseph O’Brien-trained Delicate Girl has been making progress with each of her three starts and looks the one to beat here after a fine second at Galway to Countess Of Tyrone. She is rated 1lb inferior to Ballybrit runner-up Astar but probably has a bit more scope for improvement as a more unexposed type.
SELECTION: DELICATE GIRL
Next best: Astar
4.45 Dan Cowman Memorial Maiden 1m 4f
The form of his recent Killarney third has taken a few knocks since but Eastmore has been found a good opportunity to get off the mark at the third attempt. He could have more to come, albeit the track is possibly a bit of a concern for the Awtaad gelding.
Lygon Street, trained by Joseph O’Brien, is fitted with blinkers for the first time after a respectable fourth in the Apprentice Derby in June. He looks the biggest threat and has just 2lb to find on official ratings.
SELECTION: EASTMORE
Next best: Lygon Street

There was a step in the right direction from the Johnny Murtagh-trained Kermiya when fifth in a fillies’ maiden at Killarney last month and she has the potential to improve beyond her opening mark of 68.
She’s bred to be a fair deal better as a half-sister to same stable’s Group 3-placed premier handicap winner Kerkiyra. Fratas is up 7lb for a decisive win at Galway over an extended mile but is clearly in decent nick. Skyquake is a lightly raced filly with a chance to improve, tried in cheekpieces for the first time. She makes some appeal for Joseph O’Brien.
SELECTION: KERMIYA

5.50 Strand Inn Dunmore East
Handicap (Div I) 1m 4f
He didn’t fully catch fire last time at Down Royal but Macinamillion was certainly eyecatching on his previous start at Killarney and could appreciate the anticipated ease in the ground. He may well be a better operator than his mark of 55.
Cleopatra’s Needle has been frustrating to follow, now 0-15, but could be suited to this trip around here if back on her ‘A’ game after disappointing at Bellewstown last time. An ease in the ground probably wouldn’t be detrimental to her chances. Action Motion, a respectable fifth last time, and Chatterbox, who hails from a stable in fine form, have live claims too.
SELECTION: MACINAMILLION

A reasonable fourth over hurdles at Kilbeggan after a 10-week break last week might just leave Estepona Sun in the right place to win a flat handicap of this nature off a mark of 60. He was just touched off in a 10-furlong handicap at Navan on his stable debut last summer and this trip should play to his strengths.
Baile Locha Riach needs to bounce back from bombing out at Leopardstown but he previously showed signs of promise with a handicap of this level in mind. It will be interesting to note whether there is any market confidence behind Tony Mullins’ latest German recruit Oakley on his Irish debut.
SELECTION: ESTEPONA SUN

6.50 Perennial Freight Handicap 1m 4f
Expound didn’t find as much for pressure as hoped when third at Tipperary last week (rider dropped whip in closing stages) but he might still be a well handicapped horse in these different circumstances around here. The application of cheekpieces for the first time might also make the difference. Last year’s winner of the race Royal Eagle, who won smoothly here over hurdles on Thursday, is bound to make another bold bid, though, and needs respecting.
SELECTION: EXPOUND
Next best: Royal Eagle
7.20 Brennan’s Pharmacy Handicap 2m
Plenty of the ace cards here are based with Willie Mullins and the champion trainer’s Galway Festival second Stoke The Fire gets the nod to prove best of the bunch. Extremely well backed when just touched off last time, he is probably still ahead of the handicapper despite a 7lb hike. Colin Keane, who has seven rides at the Curragh earlier in the afternoon, makes the trip to Tramore for this mount and one other in the last. Stablemate Zenon hasn’t been seen for 1,095 days but is well handicapped off 82 if anything like his old form.
SELECTION: STOKE THE FIRE
Next best: Zenon
7.50 Morris DIY Handicap 2m
Charlie Luciano has been in good shape over hurdles lately, winning at Downpatrick and Bellewstown before his latest second, and he ought to go close off a handy-looking flat mark of 59. The trip looks just right for him and he also has the assistance of Colin Keane.
Wild Shot won over the course and distance in July and clearly likes this place. Barometer and Zoffany Bay are others for the shortlist.
SELECTION: CHARLIE LUCIANO
Next best: Wild Shot
