TREO Eile has reached a new step in its development, as they advertise for the position of a chief executive officer.

Founded by Caoimhe Doherty and Sarah Sands, the not-for-profit organisation has gone from strength to strength since its inception, in its aim to promote the versatility of thoroughbreds, to connect ex-racehorses with new owners, and to increase the opportunities for retrained racehorses.

After launching the job spec earlier this week, Caoimhe Doherty commented: “Treo Eile is excited to launch our bid for a CEO who will be responsible for shaping the future of the organisation and continuing the excellent work that our small team has been doing.

“With the major funding commitments from the EBF, the Foal Levy Committee, HRI and Godolphin in particular, we are serious about our commitment to aftercare and see this CEO role as one which is imperative to the industry.”

On the sort of individual they hope to attract, Doherty said: “The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, strong organisation and communication skills and a good knowledge of both the thoroughbred and sport horse industries. However, we believe what is most important is a passion for the horse and aftercare, and a desire to make a difference.

“Our applications are open until March 31st and we would encourage anyone with any questions or queries to please get in touch with us by email via treoeilejobs@gmail.com.”
