CALARE fought off the opposition as she snatched Listed honours in the Staffordstown Stud Stakes at the Curragh.
The Godolphin-owned filly appeared to try to have a snap at Queen Anne's Lace, the 11-8 favourite, as she went past in the final furlong. Charlie Appleby's charge looked hemmed in on the far rail but James Doyle managed to move her out to deliver a winning challenge.
