THE Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast was the venue last Friday for an Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association winter veterinary lecture on reproduction and biosecurity. The evening, which attracted a great crowd and had the approval of both the Veterinary Council of Ireland and the British Equine Veterinary Association, was sponsored by the Down Royal Corporation of Horse Breeders with the support of IMV Imaging GB & Ireland and MSD Animal Health Ireland. Both panellists, Catherine Dwan of Cheval Veterinary Clinic and Ann Cullinane of the Irish Equine Centre, gave very informative and beneficial presentations. The feedback from both breeders and veterinary surgeons alike has been very positive. Speaking about the evening, the ITBA Northern Region chairman, Dean Harron, and committee member, Max Ervine, said they were very happy with the large turn out and the quality of speakers.
