TERENCE McKeag, well-known in both the racing and equestrian worlds, has been part and parcel of the Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride for the past 12 years and was recognised for his contribution at the launch of this year’s ride which took place last Thursday week.

Ride organiser, Joan Cunningham, commissioned Killyleagh artist Leo Casement (another ride supporter) to execute a painting with an equestrian theme and this was presented to Helen’s Bay resident Terence at the launch in Rowallane Gardens. Among the sponsors, guests and members of the media present were Alan Buchanan, Bree Rutledge, Alastair McIlveen, Megan Hamil, Robert McCarthy, Michael Drake, Ruth Loney, Pius Kulama and Robert Berry.
