SAMMY Jo Bell, who has been out of action since badly fracturing her pelvis at Carlisle in mid-May, is planning a short trip home to Dunadry next weekend.

The Malton-based jockey was back with her surgeon earlier this week. “He said it will be another three months before I can ride again so it’s a slow process,” reported Sammy Jo. “I’m in the gym every day so that’s keeping me busy and I’m pretty much pain free so that’s good!”
