Mickael Barzalona delivered a front-running masterclass aboard Tribalist in Sunday's Group 1 Prix du Moulin at ParisLongchamp.
Most observers expected the one-mile race to be dominated by proven Group 1 winners Charyn, Notable Speech and Henry Longfellow, but they couldn't catch the 25/1 shot Tribalist who shot clear from halfway.

Charyn came from out of the back to get within a length and a quarter of the winner at the line, and it was three lengths further back to Henry Longfellow. Notable Speech finished a disappointing fifth on what was his first start on soft ground.
Afterwards, Tribalist's trainer André Fabre mentioned the Prix de la Foret and the Breeders' Cup Mile as likely targets for the winner, a five-year-old entire by the Pivotal horse, Farhh.
Tribalist's owner Godolphin was also responsible for another high class winner on the day in the shape of Ombudsman. Trained by John and Thady Gosden, the three-year-old son of Night Of Thunder maintained his unbeaten record (from four starts) in the Group 3 Prix du Prince d'Orange over 10 furlongs.
Another success for Ombudsmen!

There was another British-trained winner on the card when Jack Channon's Certain Lad earned a deserved success in the Group 3 La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte over 10 furlongs.
Later on the card, the Dermot Weld-trained Harbour Master finished a respectable second to the Fabre-trained Sevenna's Knight in the Group 3 Prix Gladiateur over almost two miles.
