AT the upcoming Goffs February Sale, Ballylinch Stud is consigning Lot 143, a yearling filly by their hugely successful resident stallion Beat Hollow (Sadler’s Wells). The yearling is catalogued as a most attractive half-sister to a pair of blacktype winning granddaughters of Sadler’s Wells (Northern Dancer) through the former Ballylinch-owned sire in King’s Theatre, but the pedigree received yet another boost last weekend.

The pair of blacktype winners, Katie Too and The Pirate’s Queen, are now joined by yet another, the fillies’ own-brother The Dutchman (King’s Theatre) who recorded the most important of his three career wins to date, winning the Grade 2 Peter Marsh Chase. This trio of blacktype winners are the first three foals and runners for their dam Shivermetimber, herself a Grade 3 winning chaser and a daughter of Arctic Lord (Lord Gayle).
