FRESHMAN sires were responsible for the first two winners on Thursday's card at Beverley.

The first division of the five-furlong fillies' novice auction race went to 2/9 favourite Iva Go, a daughter of Castle Hyde Stud's Ivawood (by Zebedee).

The Tim Easterby-trained bay was a runner-up at Redcar on her only previous start but put that experience to good use and made all to score by a neck.

She was bred by the Enliven Partnership, is a £4,000 graduate of the Goffs UK Premier (Yearlings) Sale, and is the second foal and second winner out of seven-furlong scorer Enliven (by Dansili). She comes from a branch of the family of Group/Grade 1 stars such as Aquarelliste (by Danehill) and Artiste Royal (by Danehill).

Baileys In Bloom won the second division of the Beverley race, making a half-length winning debut for the Richard Fahey stable.

The €15,000 Arqana Deauville V2 graduate was bred by Haras des Trois Chapelles, which is where her Group 2-winning sire Supplicant (by Kyllachy) stands. He spent his first season at Petches Farm Stud in the UK.

She is the second foal of the stakes-placed six-to-eight-furlong winner Golbahar (by Holy Roman Emperor) and her third dam is the pattern-placed mile stakes winner Green Lady (by Green Desert), a daughter of the former Jim Bolger-trained dual blacktype heroine Fawaayid (by Vaguely Noble).
