NINA Carberry is one of three prominent politicians who will speak at a seminar organised by the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (ITBA) on Thursday week, October 31st.
Entitled “From Paddock to Parliament”, the event takes place at Goffs in Kill, Co Kildare. The evening will begin with light refreshments at 6.30pm and the panel discussion will commence at 7pm sharp.
The panel is comprised of three key female political figures with strong links to bloodstock and agriculture from three different political parties. MEP Nina Carberry of Fine Gael will be joined by Minister Pippa Hackett of the Department of Agriculture from the Green Party and Senator Fiona O’Loughlin of Fianna Fáil, who will be contesting the general election as their candidate in Kildare South.
The host for the discussion will be Jane Mangan of Racing TV and RTÉ Racing, who is also a former jockey and noted breeder in her own right.
This event is billed as “a unique opportunity for both members of the bloodstock industry and their political representatives to become acquainted with each other and the issues facing the bloodstock industry.”
