A HOST of recent point-to-point winners are among the 144 supplementary lots for next week’s Goffs Doncaster Spring HIT/PTP Sale, and more are likely to be added in the coming days.
The two-day sale, now in its 63rd year, has produced Gold Cup and Grand National winners, and of course just a few years ago it gave us Constitution Hill.
Following on from Tuesday’s store sale (see below), Wednesday’s session features British and Irish pointers and represents the largest annual sale of this type.
The day includes entries from all the leading point-to-point handlers. Just this week John Nallen added three recent ‘Minella’ point-to-point winners to the catalogue. Wednesday will also feature drafts from Gigginstown House Stud, Gordon Elliott’s Cullentra House Stables and J.P. McManus’ Martinstown Stud.
The second and final day will be dedicated to horses-in-training, with consignments from the leading NH trainers, including the annual Million In Mind Dispersal which has been such a huge draw for many years and is headlined this year by the listed-winning six-year-old mare Avakate.
Steve Parkin’s Clipper Logistics is selling off five National Hunt horses and there are plenty of entries from leading owners and trainers.
