FARHH STRIKES AGAIN

Dalham Hall Stud stallion Farhh (by Pivotal) ran away with a seven-furlong maiden on his only start at two and hit his peak at five when winning both the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes and Group 1 Champion Stakes.

There were only 38 foals in his first crop – small by modern standards – his racing and pedigree profile suggested that anything he would achieve with his juveniles would likely be a bonus, and that makes his freshman record eye-catching.

Wells Farhh Go pipped Saturday's Group 2 Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes winner James Garfield in the Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York last month, then Dee Ex Bee finished third in the Listed Ascendant Stakes at Haydock, and on Sunday he was represented by blacktype performer number three.

Fa Ul Sciur, who was listed placed in Milan on his previous start, gave his sire a second stakes winner with a long odds-on success in the Listed Premio Grande over seven and a half furlongs at Capannelle.

The Stefano Botti-trained juvenile is out of 10-furlong Group 3 scorer Rosa Del Dubai (by Dubai Destination) and that makes him a half-brother to Folega (by Oasis Dream), the filly who won the Group 2 Oaks d'Italia in May.

Their half-sister Favulusa (by Dansili) easily won a 10-furlong listed contest at Capannelle two years ago and their siblings also include the stakes-placed filly Facia De Tola (by New Approach).

Rosa Del Dubai is out of the classic-placed Italian stakes winner Rosa Di Brema (by Lomitas) and her siblings include Biancarosa (by Dalakhani), the stakes-winning dam of Group 1-placed French juvenile Notte Bianca (by Kendargent).

The Nicolo Simondi-trained three-year-old was bred in Ireland by Thomas Hassett, he is a €26,000 graduate of the Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale, and he is a half-brother to the pattern-placed triple winner Parsley (by Zebedee).

ANOTHER SMART KODIAC FILLY

Tally-Ho Stud stallion Kodiac (by Danehill) has notched up 37 stakes winners (to Wednesday night), 16 of them at pattern level, and that smaller list includes the Karl Burke-trained juvenile Ellthea.

The bay was bred by George Kent, she is an €88,000 graduate of the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, and she is a half-sister to several winners out of Tropical Lady (by Sri Pekan).
