A CHEQUE for €2,500 was recently presented to children’s charity Barretstown by Vincent O’Leary, owner of Fletcher’s pub in Naas and Tara Buick from the Curragh.
The money was raised through a sweepstake based around the Friends of the Curragh Irish Cesarwitch, which was won by The Euphrates. One of 30 runners in the race matched with 30 publicans, The Euphrates was drawn by Fletcher’s bar and their chosen charity was Barretstown in Ballymore Eustace, the charity which provides residential camps and programmes for children affected by cancer and their families.
