THE inaugural Cancer Fund for Children’s charity race day takes place at Leopardstown Racecourse on Sunday, March 2nd. The event aims to raise vital funds to support children across Ireland diagnosed with cancer and their families.

The race day will include a Q&A with special guest, Rachael Blackmore, who is an ambassador for Cancer Fund for Children, helping the charity raise awareness of the vital services they provide to families impacted by childhood cancer.

Speaking about Cancer Fund for Children’s Race Day, Rachael Blackmore said: “I’m very proud to lend my support to the inaugural race day to raise vital funds for this amazing charity.

“It’s so important that the great services Cancer Fund for Children provide can be made available to as many families impacted by childhood cancer as possible, at a time when they need it most.”

Guests will also enjoy a drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment, pre-Cheltenham tips, prizes and an action-packed day of horse racing.

Cancer Fund for Children are an all-island charity providing vital support to children and young people (0-24 years) impacted by cancer, as well as their parents and siblings.

This support is provided in hospital, at home, in the community and at the charity’s short-break therapeutic centre Daisy Lodge in Newcastle, Co Down.
