Hayes was given a seven-day suspension at Wexford on October 28th for riding improperly in a maiden hurdle he won aboard One Big Boum. The Appeals Body accepted the view proposed by Hayes that he was only guilty of the lesser offence of careless riding and reduced the ban to two days.
