2.30 Irish Stallion Farms EBF

Fillies Maiden 1m

A €1.85million buy, Minnie Hauk is the most likely on previous form, having been a short-priced second on debut. Calrissian stepped forward significantly on her second start and should come on again, as should her rival Kalixa.

Of the newcomers, Subsonic appeals on pedigree, while Dawn Spirit and Faberi are bred for further. Watch market for support.

A race that often produces a classy performer, and the sires alone suggest that might be the case again today. It’s hard to ignore horses by Wootton Bassett like Aidan O’Brien’s Glimmer Of Hope and Serious Contender, the latter well-named after two runs.

Sujet’s debut fifth has been upgraded by the winner, but Kilcrea Rock wasn’t far behind him next time (with Medallion further back) and can build on that fourth-placed effort for Joseph O’Brien.

A number of well-bred debutants to consider and though Highbury See See only cost €9,000, he’s well-related and his sire, Belardo, liked soft ground.

SELECTION: KILCREA ROCK

3.40 Mongey Communications Eyrefield Stakes (Group 3) 1m 1f

The O’Brien family provide five of the six runners and predicting the finishing order is no easy task. Wemightakedlongway appears to be Joseph O’Brien’s leading chance on jockey bookings, but Emit is proven on this ground and over the trip.

Thrice’s maiden win suggested he’d relish stepping up in trip, while it will be interesting to see if connections change tactics for Beresford Stakes fourth Trinity College, after he was reeled in over a mile.

SELECTION: THRICE

Next best: Emit

Fillies Maiden 7f 30yds

Another maiden filled with beautifully-bred juveniles, including Takemetothemoon, a half-sister to City Of Troy. Dermot Weld’s newcomers also boast posh pedigrees, with Bint Queen Kindly bred to be sharper. Valencia is the pick on form, based on her Goffs Million fourth, while Banner Beauty caught the eye on debut at the Curragh. Queens Fury has encountered a number of smart fillies so far, with that not impossible again today.

Candleford Green is interesting but bred to improve with time and distance.

SELECTION: VALENCIA

Next best: Takemetothemoon

4.40 Killavullan Stakes (Group 3) 7f 30yds

A case could be made for any of these, either on proven form or potential progression. Exactly, placed in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes and Prix Marcel Boussac the last twice, has strong form.

Celtic Motif entered many a notebook when coming from last to third in the Goffs Million, a performance just as, if not more, likeable than the runner-up Antelope Canyon.

It’s hard to look away from Cadogan, beaten just a short-head by Henri Matisse on his sole start. Mississippi River should build on his debut effort, when well-backed at the Curragh, while there was lots to like about stablemate Serengeti’s first attempt.

Wild Sapphire was a length and a half closer that day, but it wouldn’t be surprising if the Ballydoyle colt reversed the form today. Game Point looks the most appealing of the newcomers on pedigree.

SELECTION: CADOGAN

Next best: Serengeti

5.40 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Nursery Handicap 1m

A few have failed to build on early promise. Yamal finished third and fourth to two subsequent group winners on his first two starts, so he should be more than capable of landing this.

The top four all have strong chances, and joint bottom weight Faoladh was well-supported on debut here, so if he were to reproduce his homework, he could be value.

SELECTION: YAMAL
