TO celebrate the glittering international career of the legendary Parco, a portrait was presented to Drumhowan Stud this week by one of Ireland’s most respected equine artists Simon Carman.
Now aged 29, Parco (by Darco (BWP) out of Iliona v/h Carelshof (BWP) by Attack Z (Hann)) was the centre of attention on Monday at Eamon and Glady McArde’s Drumhowan Stud Stallion Open Day.
“Parco brags an extraordinary show jumping record. Not just competing in them, Parco won or placed in all the ‘landmarks’ of world class showjumping competitions including the Global Champions Tour, the Olympics, World Cup qualifiers and finals, European Championships, Nations Cups, Grand Prix and a Nation’s Champion. He was ridden by Belgian’s Ludo Phillippearts,” said the McArdles.
Bred by Jan Bongaert, Parco is owned by The Stallion Company.
