SATURDAY’S DAFM/HSI six-year-old Development Series saw a field of 42 go to post over the two-phase track.

Of these, 18 produced a double clear round, with Sven Hadley and his own Maximum Numero Too HSH proving best of the bunch, with a second round time of 25.16 for the win.

By Aganix Du Seigneur out of Couple of Diamonds, by Numero Uno, he was bred by Eamon McArdle.

Cavan Equestrian Centre’s Agassi (Aganix Du Seigneur Z x Cassius), who was bred by Thomas Fuchs, was ridden by Camryn Clarke into the runner-up spot in 26.26.

The Dutch-bred mare Nikita (Falaise De Muze x Indorado) took third place for owner/rider Hallie Crowe in 27.65.

Dylan Ward partnered his father Hugh’s home-bred mare Aganix De La Mer (Aganix Du Seigneur x Eurocommerce Berlin) to fourth place in 28.07.

Belline Cruising Dynasty (Cruising Encore x Adelfos), bred by Noel Ruane, ridden and owned by Patrick Byrne, slotted into fifth place in 28.34.

Sixth went to Amber Cotton riding Susan Dunn’s gelding Fortside Bonnaroo (Aganix Du Seigneur x Lux Z), bred by Catherine Thornton.

Interestingly, four of the top-six placed horses in this class were sired by Aganix Du Seigneur.
