THE annual Million In Mind Dispersal has been the source of many sale highlights and subsequent racecourse stars during its long association with the Goffs UK Spring Sale, and it delivered another session topper on Thursday.

Taking the total of six-figure sales to a record 17 for the final two days was Million In Mind’s Ioupy Collonges, a five-year-old son of Kitkou. Placed on both his starts in point-to-points, he won his only bumper, and has also won two of his four hurdle starts for Paul Nicholls, placing on the other occasions, and he will return to the Nicholls yard after being purchased by his trainer and Tom Malone for £165,000.

Dual Grand National-winning trainer Lucinda Russell and owner Paul McIvor gave £150,000 for Primoz, saddled by Paurick O’Connor to place in two bumper starts, However, it is clear that the five-year-old Westerner gelding’s future lies with a chasing career, and maybe some day he too will be an Aintree hero, Russell, who was the recipient during the day of the Willie Stephenson Award, bought this €45,000 Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale pinhook.

Benny Walsh received £125,000 for his Borris House runner-up Silver Jet from Harry Fry and bloodstock agent Kevin Ross. The gelding was sold on behalf of Douglas Taylor, who owns the lot’s sire, and the five-year-old’s previous sales visit was as a foal to Goffs, when he realised €12,000.

Olly Murphy will train Itsnoteasy after his purchase for £100,000 from Colin Bowe. The five-year-old son of Ocovango won at the third time of asking this month in Bartlemy. Placed on both his starts, including at Killarney most recently, Monbeg Stables’ Sean Doyle sold Face D’Music, a son of Jukebox Jury, to Katy Price for £100,000.
