  • Ming Dynasty returned to winning form with victory in the Group 2 Prix du Conseil de Paris over 12 furlongs at Chantilly, a second blacktype success for the Mikel Delzangles-trained son of Darley Japan stallion King's Best (by Kingmambo). He was bred by Dayton Investments Ltd and his dam Memoire (by Sadler's Wells), a daughter of the Group 1 scorer Moonlight Dance (by Alysheba), is a full-sister to the Group 1 Prix de Diane (French Oaks) runner-up Millionaia.

  • Ballyhane Stud's classic winning miler Roderic O'Connor (by Galileo) notched up the second pattern winner from his first crop of juveniles when the Stefano Botti-trained Biz Heart won the Group 2 Gran Criterium over a mile at San Siro. Bred by Massimo Parri, the colt is a half-brother to the Group 1 star Biz The Nurse (by Oratorio) and to the Group 3 scorer Misterious Boy (by Arcano). His dam is the listed winner Biz Bar (by Tobougg), so he is inbred 3x4 to Sadler's Wells (by Northern Dancer).

  • Gestut Park Wiedingen's homebred juvenile Dhaba won the Group 3 Preis der Winterkonigin over a mile at Baden-Baden. The Markus Klug-trained daughter of Gestut Evershorst sire Areion (by Big Shuffle) is the first foal out of Darshana (by Medicean), and his grandam is the middle-distance Group 3 scorer Deva (by Platini).

  • Incantator won the Group 3 Preis der BBAG Hengstparade (Baden-Wurttemberg-Trophy) over 10 furlongs at Baden-Baden, a first pattern success for Rennstall Wohler's homebred son of Areion (by Big Shuffle). The Andreas Wohler-trained three-year-old is a half-brother to the recent juvenile Group 3 scorer Isfahan (by Lord Of England) and his dam, Independent Miss (by Polar Falcon) is a grand-daughter of the Group 1 winner Indica (by Athenagoras).

  • Felician won the Group 3 Premio del Piazzale over nine furlongs on heavy ground at San Siro, a third pattern success for the Ferdinand Leve-trained son of Haras du Quesnay stallion Motivator (by Montjeu). Gestut Haus Ittlingen's homebred seven-year-old is a half-brother to the seven furlong listed scorer Fly First (by Big Shuffle) and his dam, Felicity (by Inchinor), was a pattern-winning sprinter.

  • Lohit was an easy winner of the Group 3 Premio Omenoni in heavy ground at San Siro, taking the five furlong contest by five lengths for a first pattern success. The four-year-old son of Cheveley Park Stud stallion Dutch Art (by Medicean) was bred by Azienda Agricola Rosati Colarieti Antonio, he is trained by Luigi Biagetti, and he is a half-brother to the 2007 Group 3 Premio Regina Elena (Italian 1000 Guineas) winner Lokaloka (by Pursuit Of Love). He comes from the immediate family of the high-class Gothenberg (by Polish Patriot).

  • Solow won the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Sponsored by Qipco (British Champions Mile) at Ascot, a fifth consecutive victory at the highest level for the Wertheimer brothers' homebred five-year-old. The gelded son of the late Dalham Hall Stud stallion Singspiel (by In The Wings) is trained by Freddy Head. He is out of the pattern-placed High Maintenance (by Highest Honor), his grandam is the Group 2 Prix de Royallieu winner Fabulous Hostess (by Fabulous Dancer), and notable horses in the family include the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes heroine Thistle Bird (by Selkirk).

Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum's homebred three-year-old is a son of Banstead Manor Stud ace Oasis Dream (by Green Desert), and he is the best of four blacktype earners out of the stakes-placed Tahrir (by Linamix).   • Dual Derby hero Mongolian Khan added the Group 1 BMW Caulfield Cup over 12 furlongs at Caulfield in Australia. The Murray Baker-trained four-year-old was bred by Grenville Stud, he is a son of Coolmore Stud stallion Holy Roman Emperor (by Danehill), and his dam Centafit (by Centaine) is also responsible for the Group 1-winning stayer Young Centaur (by Centaine).

  • Flying Officer won the Group 2 Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup over two miles at Ascot, a sixth win from nine starts for George Strawbridge's homebred gelding. The John Gosden-trained five-year-old is out of Vignette (by Diesis), he a full-brother to the Group 1 St Leger winner Lucarno (by Dynaformer), and also to the Group 2 scorer Thought Worthy.

The Richard Fahey-trained colt was bred by the partnership of Patrick Cosgrove and the Dream Ahead Syndicate, and he is a half-brother to the mile listed scorer Caledonian Spring (by Amadeus Wolf). His dam Mathuna (by Tagula) is a half-sister to the Group 3 Prix Chloe winner Wilside (by Verglas) and also to the dual mile listed scorer Round Heels (by Daggers Drawn).
