THE Irish Horse Welfare Trust has reported a drop in donations and is asking the racing community to consider making a small monthly contribution towards its costs.

With over 60 equines in care and hundreds more out in homes, the IHWT is looking for ways to generate income streams that will help to sustain its activities through 2020 and beyond.

Spokesperson Jill Godsil said: “We are asking horse lovers everywhere to consider donating €5 a month. This can be done through our website, our Facebook page or directly through PayPal."

The IHWT will send out forms by post to those who email info@ihwt.ie
