HAYLEY O’Connor is to move from Ladbrokes to join Goffs in the new role of international client relations.
She leaves Ladbrokes after eight years during which time she held the position of public relations and communications manager. O'Connor is also a successful racehorse owner and breeder, while she has a long association with Goffs as both a vendor and purchaser.
She also gained valuable insights into the international bloodstock industry from time spent working in Kentucky, Australia and New Zealand.
Starting in her new job on November 20th, O'Connor will work closely with Goffs' marketing director Joey Cullen and international director Elaine Lawlor, both of whom travel worldwide throughout the year.
As part of a broad remit, she will travel extensively to the UK and internationally to promote the Goffs name to potential and existing clients across the globe.
Announcing the appointment, Goffs' Group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "Hayley is a superb addition to the enthusiastic Goffs team and will perfectly complement our existing marketing personnel and international agents with whom she will interact closely.
"Her wide experience and admirable skill set will allow her to assist our ongoing drive to promote the Goffs name and unique service to the widest global audience."
O’Connor said: "The Goffs brand has a global reputation for excellence and the highest integrity
and, whether you are a familiar face or a fresh one, it is impossible not to feel the excitement of the place when you walk through the doors. I bought my first racehorse at Goffs so can promote the buyer experience with first-hand knowledge.
"Goffs has a wonderful history and is led by a forward-thinking team that seeks to provide the best possible service to its clients, so it is with great enthusiasm that I take on this new role."
Ladbrokes Ireland director Jackie Murphy wished O'Connor well saying: "We will be very sorry to see Hayley leave but we understand that this appointment is a great opportunity for her. She has been an excellent ambassador for Ladbrokes, playing a pivotal role in the development of the brand and we wish her every success for the future."
