6:00 Longines Hong Kong Vase (Group 1) (3yo+) 1m4f (Sky Racing)

Mogul goes for a repeat but needs to step up on recent runs and hasn’t been seen since well-beaten in a Deauville Group 3 in August. This is tougher than last year.

Pyledriver should go close on his best form having been trained for this contest.

Glory Vase won the 2019 edition of this race and a big player again on his early-season second to Loves Only You.

Stay Foolish is a solid stayer and a bit of a dark horse here, especially with some strong form in Japan. Ebaiyra hasn’t run since a disappointing sixth in the Prix Jean Romanet in August and should have a big shout to give Alain De Royer Dupre a good send off from training.

SELECTION: EBAIYRA

Next Best: Pyledriver

6:40 Longines Hong Kong Sprint (Group 1) (3yo+) 6f

Three-year-old Pixie Knight won the Group 1 Sprinters Stakes last start in Nakayama and should go close.

Resistencia was second to him the last twice but is a five-time winner in Japan who makes her first start overseas.

Wellington is the best from Hong Kong. He won the Group 1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize last April in style and if he’s primed to hes beset then he is easily the best of the home team. Lucky Patch for Zac Purton is also noted.

SELECTION: PIXIE KNIGHT

Next Best: Wellington

7:50 Longines Hong Kong Mile (Group 1) (3yo+) 1m

Hong Kong champion Golden Sixty’s toughest test to date but he does appear up for his 16th consecutive win and 19th overall. He’ll come from the back with a strong burst late.

Danon Kingly is respected as this year’s Group 1 Yasuda Kinen winner in Japan. Salios is also a player and he boasts placings behind Contrail and a Group 1 score over the mile. Indy Champ is six but he still has the class required to be competitive here.

It’s Mother Earth’s 10th run of the season from Newmarket to Deauville to Del Mar and would be a major achievement to take this but she is tough.

SELECTION: SALIOS

Next Best: Golden Sixty

8:30 Longines Hong Kong Cup (Group 1) (3yo+) 1m2f

Best race of the day. Japan’s Loves Only You has become a globetrotting star. She won the QEII Cup in April in Hong Kong and a repeat of that run should see her prove ultra-competitive again, especially following her Breeders’ Cup win.

William Haggas’ Dubai Honour heads the European three-year-olds along with Mac Swiney and Bolshoi Ballet and is a classy operator in the latter half of the season. He placed in the British Champion Stakes at Ascot with Mac Swiney third and that level of form holds him in good stead. Jim Bolger’s horse could also shows up well.

Lei Papale can roll forward and with Christophe Soumillon and her best could well see her remain undefeated over 10 furlongs.

SELECTION: LOVES ONLY YOU

Next Best: Dubai Honour
