ARQANA has unveiled the 2024 catalogue for its prestigious August Sale, the source of Ace Impact and Look De Vega in recent years. Some 325 yearlings are scheduled to go under the hammer from August 16th to 18th, during which the Group 1 Prix Morny and Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet will also take place at the neighbouring racecourse in Deauville.

Irish consignors are among those with beautifully-bred yearlings catalogued, namely Ballylinch Stud, Baroda Stud, Camas Park Stud and Kildaragh Stud. To illustrate the catalogue’s quality, 40% are out of blacktype mares.

Recent Coventry Stakes victor Rashabar was bought by Sam Sangster at last year’s sale for €120,000 and his half-sister by Acclamation will be offered by Haras de Beaufay at the 2024 renewal.

Expectations are high following a record-breaking edition in 2023, when turnover rose by 12% to €56,384,000, the average increased similarly to €233,470 and the median grew by 21% to €170,000.
