Irish National Stud course maintains global reach
THE latest intake of students on the Irish National Stud’s world famous Thoroughbred Breeding Management course hail from the United States, Colombia, France, Sweden, Britain, South Africa, Australia and Ireland.
During this immersive six-month programme, the 26 students will receive hands-on training and in-depth lectures covering all aspects of thoroughbred breeding.
The curriculum spans key subjects such as reproductive anatomy and physiology, mare and stallion management, foaling procedures, equine nutrition, equine business and farm management.
This comprehensive approach ensures that graduates are well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
“We continue to be impressed by the high calibre of applicants each year, and the class of 2025 is no exception,” said Anne Channon, INS education manager.
“As the thoroughbred breeding industry evolves, equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge to lead the industry forward is essential. We look forward to welcoming the group to the INS in January.”
