Improve your resilience
THERE is still time to register for next Wednesday evening’s ‘Workplace Resilience’ webinar organised by the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association. Part of the ITBA’s Ask The Expert Series, the event starts at 7pm. Hannah Marks of the ITBA said: “We invest huge amounts of resources into things and our work-self, but little on our long-term welfare. If we do not look after ourselves, we cannot look after those around us, our family, friends and co-workers. Have a pen and paper ready to take some notes along the way. The aim of the workshop is to make each participant aware of and develop their skill of managing their wellness.”

Harness racing tragedy in USA
THE world of harness racing has been rocked by tragedy this week. Professional driver Hunter Myers (27) passed away in hospital due to injuries sustained in a horrific six-horse pile up at The Meadows in Pennsylvania. He leaves a partner and young son.
The Irish Field’s harness racing correspondent Dan Carlin said: “Fatalities in harness racing are thankfully rare, even with fields of horses and sulkies closely packed on tight tracks. Irish harness racing followers keep a close eye on the Eastern US tracks and everyone in the sport here sympathises with the family.”
