Stars off to flyer

FIFTY Stars, the Group 1-winning son of Sea The Stars, has had his first mares scanned in foal after beginning his first year at Sunnyhill Stud. Among those already in foal to him are Grade 2 winner Lady Breffni, a full-sister to Road To Respect and a half-sister to Tiger Roll’s dam. He is due to cover high-class chaser Cabaret Queen and the dam of Wicklow Brave.

Dascombe move

TOM Dascombe will continue his training career in Lambourn after sending out his last runner from Michael Owen’s Manor House Stables today. The 48-year-old has agreed a lease on Uplands, a yard made famous by Fred Winter and most recently the base of Warren Greatrex.
