THE Association of Irish Racehorse Owners, in conjunction with HRI Ownership, will host an owners roadshow at Ballinrobe Racecourse on Monday week, August 28th.

The purpose of the roadshow is to provide a platform for owners to ask industry representatives any questions they may have in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Representatives from AIRO and various Horse Racing Ireland departments will be in attendance, along with a member of the National Hunt handicapping team.

The AIRO representative can tell you what services the Association provides for owners and the various members’ benefits available.

HRI Ownership can advise on how to become a new owner, the different types of ownership available and what an owner can expect going racing as an owner.

Ever wondered about the entries and declarations systems or how the balloting system works? A member of HRI’s entries and declarations team will be available to talk to you at Ballinrobe.

A representative from HRI’s client accounts department will be there to explain what charges are being paid by owners, what new owners can expect to pay, or answer any questions you have in relation to accounts.

HRI’s welfare department representative will be on hand to advise owners on what safeguards are in place regarding horse and human welfare, and there will also be a stand representing Treo Eile, a charitable organisation which helps owners with the retraining and re-homing of retired racehorses.

Admission to Ballinrobe is free for all active racehorse owners and AIRO members. Refreshment vouchers will also be available from the AIRO stand. Contact Regina at AIRO for more information.
