FAIRYHOUSE played host to 250 primary school children earlier this month, as part of Horse Racing Ireland’s Racing Juniors education series.

The children met local trainer Tom Dreaper who brought along winning chaser Folly Master.

The 2022 Irish Grand National-winning jockey Paddy O’Hanlon also gave the children a tour of the weighroom.

Racecourse manager Peter Roe, track foreman Richard Stapleton and team member Luke Drought also spoke to the young visitors, while riding instructor Niall Byrne from RACE was on hand to give children an opportunity to ride the racehorse simulator.
