SECONDDARY school students from Tipperary town and Listowel paid a visit to Tipperary Racecourse last week to hear about career opportunities in the racing industry.

The 150 visitors were given a tour of the track, followed by talks from Brian Arnold of IRIS, veterinary surgeon Jim Mulcahy, jockey Danny Mullins, Tony Lawlor from the Order of Malta, Aine O’Connor of equuip, David Fitzgerald of Woodlands Hotel in Adare (catering), operations manager Robert Dunne and Keith Walsh of HRI who spoke about marketing and ticketing.
