FOUR members of the Yorkshire Pony Club competed at last weekend’s Overlander/Irish Pony Club National Minimus Championships and we believe that Henry Barker, Chloe Atkins, Pippa Gibbon and Amber Farnsworth lost little time in decorating their stables at Killossery Lodge Stud with flags and bunting.

They, and their supporters, were also very speedy after the competition, posting on Facebook about their “amazing weekend”.

They noted that their trailblazer, Henry, had recorded one of the rare clear rounds, while Amber’s swim was second best in that phase.

In an unofficial shoot (that phase is not included in the IPC Minimus), the visiting quartet scored very highly. In the official placings, the Yorkshire team finished eighth out of 40.

The post continued: “Half of this team and 16 of the Irish competitors will meet again next week (this weekend) at the UK Mini International. It will be fascinating to see what the results look like with shooting included.

“Warm congratulations to the individual winners Grace Power and Max Doran, and to the winning team, the Limerick Lions, Grace Power, Martha Buckley, Lucy Ryan and Isabelle Kennedy.”
