FRANKIE Dettori probably fancied his chances of a treble on Gosden’s Lady Of Camelot in yesterday’s closing Dubai Business Internships Pride Stakes over 10 furlongs but the favourite was swept aside by Tony Martin’s 13/2 chance Laganore, who strode clear in the closing stages to score by four lengths.

This was an excellent piece of placing by the canny handler because Laganore, a close second in a Group 3 at Gowran Park last time, was actually dropping down a grade to run at listed level.
