Big kudos to @Tattersalls_ie and @IREthoroughbred for a fantastic breeze-up sale yesterday. Delighted with all 10 purchases for clients. Just shows people want to buy Irish in Ireland.

Whatever the outcome, Twitter is going to be a fun place to be at around 4.40 on Saturday afternoon. Lads letting everyone know how right they were, twisting the knife to the other side as they smugly announce victory. I’m looking forward to that more than the Derby itself! {Such is modern media!]

Mr Jim McGrath@McGracing

IMO enduring appeal of the Derby is that most years it brings together the leading colts, as identified through various preceding races. As such, no surprise that some feel 2024 is sub par. They may be right/wrong. As the late Henry Cecil would say- “time will tell”!

One of our own passed away this morning. PAUL SHARP from Teranure in Dublin was a retired bookmaker who was probably the funniest bookie around. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. Rest in peace Paul.
