Making a serious point about how easy it is to transform perception and get some good PR.
Lottery is gambling but 90% of public don’t see it that way, the idea that it does good makes it seem like charity with the bonus that you might win, canny strategy.

Horse was green late on but still, I think Doyle was very easy on him close to the line and should have won the race - a lesser name gets banned for that ride every time. [Windsor on Monday and then bingo Callum Shepard duly got banned for 18 days for a similar offence on Wednesday]

Is the run of Calandagan not getting massively overlooked because of the winner? Had to make a huge move on the flank to get into contention, whilst Ryan has given the perfect ride to City Of Troy. If winner is as good as to be believed, getting within a length is an enormous run.

One of those ‘Thank God I was there’ days. Ten deep around the parade ring. York buzzed.

Such a strange sport we have. Why can’t we enjoy supreme performances? The sport is on its arse, we need 130+ performers and we got one today. Enjoy it and embrace it otherwise what’s the point?
