People on here really want to see City of Troy fail don’t they? We should all be getting behind him to go out and beat the Americans on the dirt.

American racing fans never saw Sea the Stars here and should be thrilled City of Troy is looking to cement his Global legacy @DelMarRacing at the U.S.-based @BreedersCup

A privilege & delight to watch City of Troy @Southwell_Races The atmosphere was fantastic. Aidan made time for everyone. All the horses looked fabulous. Ryan Moore happily signed autographs. Southwell did a great job. I’ve had THE best day Thank you.

I have heard Jump racing referred to as “farmers’ racing”. That may still to some extent be true, but trainers nowadays have a responsibility for the public image of the sport (given its enemies), and to treat its casualties as mere carcasses is highly irresponsible. [Following Shark Hanlon saying he is forced to sell most of his horses due to the upcoming ban]

Can’t help but think it’s sad that the National Hunt Chase is no longer for amateurs. That factor is absolutely intrinsic to its identity. It dates back to 1860 and has been won by some of the best human talent in the sport’s history. The race is now any old novice handicap chase.

Leon@yoyoleo

Amateur sport give amateur riders no consideration, bit shitty if you ask me, of all the changes being implemented opening this race to professional jockeys is the one that adds absolutely nothing to anyone but the professional jockeys themselves.

At what point do you think they realised giving three-time front-running Grade 1 winner FLOORING PORTER a 20-length lead was a bad idea?
