TATTERSALLS Ireland has published the 200-strong catalogue for its first Sapphire Sale, a one-day auction of flat-bred foals, yearlings and breeding stock on Saturday, November 12th. This sale replaces the November Flat Sale.

Billed as the final opportunity of the year to buy yearlings in Ireland, the sale contains 88 yearlings and all of them are eligible for the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes at the Curragh.

They include a full-brother to the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes winner Santosha, a Calyx half-sister to listed-winning and Group 2 placed Easton Angel, a Pearl Secret half-sister to blacktype horses Tilly’s Chilli and Cormier, as well as a French Navy half-sister to Coventry Stakes runner-up Eldrickjones.

Among the 79 foals on offer are the Kuroshio colt out of a half-sister to Group 2 winner Tullius, Vinesgrove Stud’s Shaman filly whose grandam is the Group 1 Nassau Stakes winner Favourable Terms, as well as Boherguy Stud’s Belardo colt out of Group 1 placed and Group 2 winner Mandinga.

The Sapphire Sale will conclude with a session of 33 mares.
