KEN Condon will be chasing Prix de l’Abbaye glory with Moss Tucker and Teresa Mendoza tomorrow and on Thursday at Goffs the trainer secured a daughter of the latter’s sire, Territories, for €80,000.

Kevin Prendergast had to settle for the role of underbidder on the filly who is related to several smart fillies that have previously raced for the trainer. The Hollyhill Stud offering is a granddaughter of the Group 3 winner and Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes third Red Feather.

Curragh trainer Takashi Kodama, signing as The Old Mew Stable, forked out €70,000 for a daughter of New Bay offered by Ballylinch Stud. This filly is the first produce of a mare who won twice at Group 3 level and was placed in Group 1 company in her native Argentina.

The American activity which underpinned the Orby Sale continued into this sale as Florida-based Torie Gladwell of Top Line Sales paid €70,000 for the progeny of two first crop sires.

The first of these was a son of the high class sprinter Invincible Army while the other was a daughter of Ten Sovereigns from the family of Peintre Celebre.

Gladwell reported that she had also picked up two horses from the Orby and the plan is for all four to head back to America for next year’s round of breeze-up sales.
